Congress Defends GOs To Attach Jagan's Properties
Stating that the government had issued 3,497 GOs in similar cases, the Congress dismisses Jagan's charges that the government is using the CBI as a political tool.
Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy, on Saturday, accused YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy of trying to get mileage on the GOs issued to attach his properties.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Tulasi Reddy said that the government had issued the GOs to prohibit the sale, pledge and transfer of ownership of various properties of Jagan and his associates, apart from helping the CBI in investigations.
He said that the government had kept the issue confidential as the GO had to get its nod from the CBI special court.
Stating that the government had issued 3,497 GOs in similar cases, he dismissed Jagan's charges that the government was using the CBI as a political tool to take revenge on him. He alleged that Jagan wants to save his illegal properties and get protection from the CBI arrest under the umbrage of the media.
He added that the law would take its own course, and that Jagan would land behind bars soon. (INN)
