Can Weather No Trust: Congress MLCs

Congress MLCs on Tuesday expressed confidence that the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government will defeat any no confidence vote moved by the opposition parties.

Addressing separate press conferences, Congress MLCs P Sudhakar Reddy and M S Prabhakar said that although the opposition parties have a right to move no trust, they were only doing so to get publicity. They said that the opposition parties lack issues and were afraid of participating in discussions on public issues. The threat of a no trust motion, they said, is only a gambit to divert public attention.

While Sudhakar Reddy accused the opposition parties of shying away from its responsibilities, Prabhakar questioned the TRS for linking the Telangana issues with the budget session of the Legislative Assembly. (INN)
