Qutbullapur MLA, and associate member of the Congress party, Kuna Srilailam Goud was seen at Chanchalguda Jail today with several other leaders, presumably to meet YSRCP president Jagan and have set in stone his shift to the latter's party. While his supporters, who were waiting outside, said that the shift was a done deal, a formal statement from the MLA is being awaited.
The independant MLA had almost taken the leap to Jagan's party a few months ago, following the lead of his relative Kuna Dayanand Goud.
This makes the last of the three associate MLAs Congress has lost to various causes, including
death.
This exodus of Telangana MLAs into YSRCP is a cause of worry not only to the Congress, which is now down to a strength of a mere 146 in the Legislative assembly, but also to TRS, which is losing potential supporters in the next elections to the Rayalaseema-based party.
