Congress Allies Lobbying For MLC Seats In Telangana
Intense lobbying is underway within the Congress too as both senior and emerging leaders vie for nominations.

With the upcoming MLC elections on March 20 for five seats under the MLA quota in Telangana, political dynamics have reportedly intensified as allies of the ruling Congress actively seek representation.
The CPI, a key ally of the Congress, is one of the parties assertively lobbying for an MLC seat.
On Monday, a delegation comprising CPI leaders Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao, Chada Venkat Reddy, Takkalpalli Rajeshwar Rao and Palle Narasimha met the PCC leadership to request the allocation to their party of one of the seats.
This move aligns with the pre-election alliance formed among the CPI, the TJS and the Congress during the previous Assembly elections.
The TJS, led by MLC M Kodandaram, is also seeking to solidify its political standing. Having previously secured an MLC position, TJS leaders are now advocating for additional representation and nominated roles as part of their agreement with the Congress.
Recent developments also indicate a growing rapport between the AIMIM and the Congress. Discussions within Congress circles suggest the possibility of an MLC seat being allocated to the AIMIM.
Within the Congress itself, intense lobbying is underway as both senior and emerging leaders vie for MLC nominations. Leaders including former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, senior leader Madhuyashki Goud and others are actively seeking nominations.
The allocation of MLC seats is poised to influence Telangana's political dynamics significantly. The Congress' decisions regarding ally representation and internal nominations will play a crucial role in shaping legislative priorities and governance strategies in the State.
