Congress Alleges Rigging In GHMC Elections
AICC Spokesperson Dasoju Sravan today alleged that the GHMC elections had been rigged by the AIMIM and the TRS.

AICC Spokesperson Dasoju Sravan today expressed his apprehensions about the poll percentage statistics provided by the State Election Commission (SEC) for the recently concluded GHMC elections, and said that he suspected that the TRS and the AIMIM had rigged the elections.
Sravan said that he was surprised to see that voting percentage had gone up to 60% and even 90% in certain areas of the Old City, while many other areas had recorded dismal voter turnouts.
He also expressed concerns over the unexpected late spike in the poll percentage in the city - to 50% by 6 pm from the 38% being reported at 5 pm.
"I find it hard to believe the statistics released by the SEC. At a time when the electronic media was showing that there were no voters coming to the polling stations, and the staff were even taking naps, how did the percentage suddenly rise so much?" Sravan asked.
He then requested the SEC to provide the CCTV footage of the GHMC elections for the entire day, and even filed an RTI application under Section 6(1) to acquire booth-wise polling footage for all the 150 divisions of the GHMC.
The Congress leader asked the SEC to provide the following details:
a) The complete booth-wise CCTV footage from the beginning of the polling process until its completion, for all the 150 divisions
b) The division-wise break-up of the total number of votes polled in each of the divisions, and
c) The total number of votes polled with the non-swastika symbol, or any other symbol or mark
Sravan said that he expected that the truth would come out if the SEC provided the right information, and answered his queries.
