State Minister Pitani Satyanarayana on Monday gave clear indications that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would resign from his post next month.
Speaking to media persons at Chinchinada of the Yalamanchili mandal of West Godavari district, after inaugurating developmental programmes, the minister said that the CM might resign in the month of February.
He also said that several ministers, including himself, would resign along with the CM.
However, he did not specify what would be their next step after giving in their resignations.
Pitani said that the Congress High Command took a decision in favour of Telangana only after all other parties gave their consent for the same.
However, he said the other parties backtracked on their stand following protests in Seemandhra region, and shifted the blame entirely on the Congress party.
He reiterated that the Congress leaders from Seemandhra region are in favour of a united Andhra Pradesh and would never change their stand. (INN)
