Closure Of Wine Shops In Cyberabad Commissionerate
Liquor shops in the limits of Kollur and RC Puram police stations will remain closed from 4 pm on February 25 to 4 pm on February 27, 2025, due to the MLC elections.
In connection with the biennial elections to the Telangana State Legislative Council from the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates' and Teachers' constituencies scheduled for February 27, 2025, the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has announced the closure of all liquor outlets within specific jurisdictions.
Avinash Mohanty, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, has ordered that all toddy shops, wine shops, bars attached to restaurants, bars in star hotels and registered clubs within the limits of Kollur and RC Puram police stations remain closed from 4 pm on February 25 to 4 pm on February 27.
Non-proprietary clubs, star hotels and restaurants, regardless of the licenses they hold for the possession and supply of liquor, are also prohibited from serving alcohol during this time frame.
The Commissioner emphasised that strict action would be taken against any establishment found violating these orders.
Residents and business owners in the affected areas have been advised to take note of these restrictions and plan accordingly.
