Chiranjeevi along with his wife Surekha today went to city-based Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills to visit his nephew Sai Dharam Tej, who was seriously injured in a road accident on Friday night.
He inquired about the health condition of Tej from the doctors of the hospital.
He also instilled confidence among his family members and the parents of the young actor.
Several other prominent film personalities, including Pavan Kalyan and Ram Charan Tej, also visited the actor at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Sangeetha Reddy said that the actor was stable and out of danger, and was being kept under the observation of the doctors of the hospital.
For the uninitiated, Tej had met with an accident on Friday night wherein the bike he was driving skidded on the cable bridge on Road Number 45 of Jubilee Hills.
The people around and the police rushed him to Medicover Hospital in an 108 ambulance first. He was later shifted to the Apollo Hospital.
Tej is reportedly on ventilator.
The hospital authorities have also released a health bulletin about Tej.
Meanwhile, the Raidurgam police have booked a case of rash and negligent driving under section 336 of the IPC and section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act against Tej.
They also released CC footage of the incident.
They said that the accident took place at 8.05 pm on Friday night.
The police have also seized the sports bike Tej was driving, and transported it to the Raidurgam police station.
The 660 CC, 200 kg sports bike (TS07 GJ 1258) was registered in the name of K N R Anil Kumar. It is being said that the market price of the bike could be between Rs. 11 lakh and Rs. 18 lakh.
Tej is said to be fond of bike riding, and go on rides whenever he gets time.
