Telangana will complete its projects by taking the assistance of Chinese financial institutions and technology, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said.
During a high-level meeting for the second consecutive day at his camp office with a team comprising Huang Wanlin and Executive Manager Lu Wiming of Gezhoba, a noted construction company from China, the Chief Minister said that a team would be sent to China for studying the projects there.
KCR said that China was noted for using better technology in irrigation projects and for lifting waters to more heights, and that Chinese companies were known for adopting better quality policies and standards. He therefore asked the officials to take a final call on the projects only after their return from China.
Speaking about Gezhoba, KCR said that the company had offered to pump in Rs 10,000 crores in investments into Telangana's projects, and that he had invited the company to participate in the tenders for the Kaleshwaram, Tupakulagudem and Sitarama projects.
KCR said that tenders should be called for the construction of pump houses, pipelines, canals and lift works by setting targets for the completion of the projects. Water should reach Ellampally and Mallanna Sagar through Kaleshwaram by 2017, he directed.
