The Bharatiya Janata Party threatened to approach the High Court if the Telangana government failed to withdraw its decision to shift the Chest Hospital from Erragadda to Vikarabad.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP Headquarters on Wednesday, BJP National Executive member Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that the decision to shift the Chest Hospital was taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in an autocratic manner.
He said that the government could not shift a general hospital from the state capital to a remote place in a neighbouring district.
He alleged that KCR had been trying to implement a personal agenda at the instance of some land sharks who were eying prime government properties in the twin cities.
Nagam also alleged that the TRS government had failed on all fronts. He said that the Chief Minister had failed to make any effective representation to the Centre on the issues concerning the state.
However, he said that the BJP government at the Centre would extend all cooperation for the development of Telangana. (INN)
