Karimagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday said that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was never serious about the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Ponnam said that if Naidu were ever serious, then he would have made representations to the Group of Ministers (GoM). However, by boycotting the GoM, Naidu has proved that he was not serious about bifurcation issue, he said.
Ponnam said that if the opposition parties move a No Confidence Motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government, then the Congress legislators would certainly save it. He also appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to follow the directions of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and "humbly" accept the division of the State. He said that the people of Telangana would forgive Kiran Kumar Reddy if he facilitates a smooth bifurcation. (INN)
