Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stepped into his new office at the Secretariat's L-Block on Friday.
With priests chanting prayers on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami, the Chief Minister entered his new office at 2:25 pm, along with chief secretary I Y R Krishna Rao, ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Ravella Kishore Babu, Advisor (Communications) Parakala Prabhakar, and his office employees.
Soon after stepping into his chambers, the Chief Minister signed the Primary Sector Mission file, which is one of the 7 missions launched by the State Government.
The Chief Minister said that the Vision 2029 (of the State Government) is part of the Primary Sector Mission, whose comprehensive blueprint would be released on 6th October, 2014.
The Primary Mission focuses on making agriculture and allied activities profitable and sustainable, mitigating the impact of drought through water conservation, ensuring prior preparation to address issues like disaster management etc., reducing wastage through efficient post-harvest management, improving storage, and processing and value addition for all major crops and commercial forestry and related industries.
