Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, stated that he was ready for an open discussion about his assets, with YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy, any time.
Talking to media persons at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Naidu demanded that Jaganmohan Reddy disclose his sources of income since 2004 in the public discussion.
He also asked Jagan to give details of people who have invested in his companies, and the basis on which they made such huge investments.
Stating that he and his family members have already disclosed their properties and have came clean from allegations, Naidu asked Jagan to emulate him.
However, he alleged that Jagan and his family members had accumulated wealth through corrupt methods during the stint of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
"I am ready for a public debate any time, at any place, with Jaganmohan Reddy, over the properties," he said.
Ridiculing Jagans' statement that he would put an end to corruption after assuming charge as the Chief Minister of the state, Naidu said that if Jagan becomes the CM, he would loot the state indiscriminately and mortgage the state's interests.
The TDP chief also condemned Jagan's remarks that the TDP and the Congress have colluded to target the YSR Congress party.
Since its inception, Naidu said, the TDP has worked for the people's welfare, and that it has never supported the Congress any time. He said that the Congress and the YSR Congress Party have conspired to beat the TDP politically.
However, the TDP would continue its fight on public issues, with the people's support, he said. (INN)
