Entrepreneurs from Canada are expected to visit Hyderabad in August this year and examine various options to set up a manufacturing unit for producing para-polythene material.
The unit, as envisaged by the Canadians, is set to bring in an investment of Rs. 2,500 crore to Andhra Pradesh.
Handlooms and Textiles Minister P Shankar Rao, informed media persons on Thursday that the Canadian venture would create over 3 lakh jobs here, directly or indirectly.
The team from Canada is expected to arrive here in August to further explore the possibilities of setting up their manufacturing company.
The Minister, who was in Canada recently on an official visit, is understood to have made a presentation to them about the resources here, as well as the infrastructure that will be made available to their proposed unit.
Para-polythene bags are used to pack pasteurised milk, and have also been used to cover crops during spring in some countries. (INN)
