BRS Announces Candidates For MLC Elections Under MLA Quota

Deshapathi Srinivas, Kurmayyagaari Naveen Kumar and Challa Venkatrami Reddy are the candidates for the seats.

BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday announced the names of Deshapathi Srinivas, Kurmayyagaari Naveen Kumar and Challa Venkatrami Reddy as candidates for the the MLC seats under the MLAs' quota in the Telangana Legislative Council coming up for elections.

The CM directed Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy and BRS general secretary Palla Rajeshwar Reddy to take care of the necessary arrangements to have the nominations filed.

The three candidates will file the nomination papers at 11 AM on March 9.

The names of two other candidates to be proposed under the Governor's quota will be announced after the cabinet meeting scheduled to be held at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday.
