Bristol Myers Squibb To Invest $ 100 Million In Hyderabad
Australia-based Bristol Myers Squibb, one of the world's top biopharmaceutical firms, is setting up a science, technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad.
Australia-based Bristol Myers Squibb, one of the world's top biopharmaceutical firms, has decided to set up a science, technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad.
Accordingly, the company will invest $100 million (about Rs 820 crore), and will employ 1,500 people in the city.
An MoU to this effect was signed with the Telangana government in the presence of IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today.
IT and Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana Life Sciences CEO Shakthi M Nagappan, Chief Medical Officer of Global Drug Development of Bristol Myers Squibb Samit Hirawat and others were present.
The centre will take shape by the end of the third quarter of this year, and its exact location will be finalised in the days to come.
