Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Thursday continued to endear himself to his party leaders by carrying on with the trend of defending their controversial statements or actions.
Botsa, who had earlier rushed to the defence of colleagues like Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, on Thursday, defended the meeting between Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy, held at the latter's residence on Wednesday.
Botsa said he would never object towards KCR talking to relevant Ministers about people's problems.
THe PCC Chief was talking to media persons after releasing a publicity poster of the Congress party claiming to provide stable and corruption-free governance and protecting Parliamentary democracy in the country.
When asked if Telangana Congress leaders had permission to announce the proposed indefinite hunger fast on the cause of Telangana, the PCC Chief said that they have not taken any permission so far.
However, he added in the same breath that he would never object to anyone staging dharnas on people's problems.
"If Telangana Congress leaders come to me with their problems, I am ready to take these problems to the High Command and make all efforts to get them solved," he said.
When asked about the allegations of corruption against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Botsa said, "The law will take its own course."
"The government would never spare anybody, and would take appropriate action against all guilty at the appropriate time," the PCC chief said.
Botsa said that the Congress workers would distribute posters across the state to spread awareness on the UPA government's policies and schemes. (INN)
