BJP Welcomes AP Plan To Have Three Capitals

The party said that the cost of the construction of the capital would also come down if three capitals were set up in the State.
Hyderabad | 18th December 2019
BJP Rajya Sabha MP G V L Narasimha Rao on Wednesday welcomed the plans of the Andhra Pradesh government to set up three capitals for the State.

He said that his party supported the proposal of the State government. He however requested the State government take steps to ensure that no farmer who had given his land for the development of Amaravathi was meted out injustice.

GVL also urged the CM to take a decision on the issue after the submission of a report by an expert committee.

Referring to the recommendations of the Sivaramakrishnan Committee, he said that that committee too has recommended the decentralization of the administration in the State. He also said that the cost of the construction of the capital would also come down if three capitals were set up in the State.

Targeting the TDP leaders, he said that the TDP leaders faced allegations of inside trading in the construction of the capital at Amaravathi.
