CPI senior leaders K Narayana and Chada Venkat Reddy today alleged that BJP-led "Hindutva fascist forces" were on a rampage against dalits, tribals and minorities.
They called upon the dalits, tribal people and other minorities to unite and take up movements to defend themselves.
The CPI leaders participated in a meeting held on the 61st death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the CPI State office on Tuesday. The Telangana Girijana Samakhya and Prajanatya Mandali jointly organised the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Narayana and Reddy alleged that the RSS and other Sangh Parivar forces were attacking minorities ever since the BJP came to power at the Centre. They asked the Centre to tackle the attack of the "Hindutva fanatics" against Leftist, progressive and secular values.
The rights provided by Ambedkar in the Constitution were not reaching dalits, tribals or minorities, they lamented and opined that there was a need to take up a movement on these issues.
Telangana Girijana Samakhya State General Secretary Ramavath Anjaiah Naik, Telangnaa Prajanatya Mandali State President Palle Narasimha, BC sub-plan Sadhana Samakhya General Secretary Panduranga Chary, Pulipalukula Mallaiah, and CPI city leaders Satyanarayana, Sudhakar and others paid tributes to Ambedkar while participating in the meeting.
