BJP leader B Muralidhar Rao today said that BJP did not want the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Telangana, and that his party would ensure that by defeating the Mahakootami in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.
He called the Telangana TDP the Telangana "Dhoka" Party, saying that it was determined to make inroads into the state through the backdoor and once again brings its people under Andhra rule. He also claimed that the Congress and the Mahakootami had become tools for TDP president Naidu to enter Telangana indirectly.
Targeting Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi's public meeting at Medchal, Rao asked the Congress leaders why Naidu did not take part in it if the parties were indeed ideologically aligned.
Rao said that the BJP was considering the December 7 elections as a great opportunity to expand the party's base ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He said that the party would go to the people and tell them about the funds allocated by the BJP for development in Telangana.
