Will Give Water From RDS To Gadwal Farmers: Bandi Sanjay
Hyderabad | 18th April 2022
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today promised to give water to the Gadwal and Alampur farmers from the RDS project.
He made this promise during an address in Vemula village of Alampur Assembly constituency of Jogulamba Gadwal district on the fifth day of his ongoing Praja Sangrama Padayatra.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay claimed that he was undertaking the padayatra not to seek the votes of the people but to find out the problems being faced by them. Targeted CM K Chandrashekar Rao, he said that the people were not believing the statements of politicians thanks to the CM's track record.
Sanjay alleged that KCR had spent Rs. 1 lakh crore on the 200-km-long Kaleswaram lift irrigation project primarily to bring water to his farmhouse from it, and that the welfare of the farmers was far from his mind. Asking the CM why he had failed to provide water to the Alampur people from the RDS project, he said that that was just one example of KCR's apathy, and that the farmers of the state were facing many problems and that KCR had all but abandoned them.
Rattling off a litany of woes of the farmers, he claimed that the farmers were suffering a lot due to spurious seeds, that KCR had not extended support to the chilli farmers when they faced an insect problem, and that KCR had also not provided compensation to the farmers who had sustained losses.
He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sanctioned 1.4 lakh houses to Telangana after becoming the PM, but that KCR did not give funds for the double bedroom scheme. He also said that KCR had ignored his promise to get a sanction for another 2 lakh houses after the completion of the already sanctioned houses.
Party leaders D K Aruna, G Krishna Reddy, Ramchandra Reddy, D K Snigdha Reddy, Gaddam Krishna Reddy and others also took part in the padayatra.
