The city police on Monday released a long list of Dos and Donts for the Deepawali festival.
The police have prohibited bursting of fireworks/crackers on public roads and at public places during the celebrations.
There is also a ban in place on bursting of sound-emitting firecrackers between 10pm and 6am from 25 to 28 October.
The police said that they would take action against those who violate the above-mentioned orders.
Bandobust and traffic arrangements have been made at temples, pooja pandals, market and shopping areas, and on public roads in the city, to facilitate peaceful celebrations and prevent untoward incidents.
The local police have been instructed to pay special attention to prevent fire hazards and fire accidents in fireworks shops, by insisting that shop-keepers take adequate fire-fighting precautions.
The managements of shopping complexes, business establishments and educational institutions have been instructed not to invite celebrities for promotional events/programs at public places in the limits of the Hyderabad City Police without prior permission of local authorities, as such events can create traffic jams.
Meanwhile, the city police have booked 14 cases against different firms for violating license rules in connection with the Deepawali festival. (INN)
