Babu To Seek National Help For Babli

Naidu is set to go to Delhi and seek national support, even before Rosaiah approaches the PM.
Hyderabad | 24th July 2010
Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu will seek the support of national parties, on the issue of illegal construction by the Maharashtra government across the river Godavari as part of the Babli Irrigation Project.

The decision to try and seek the support of national political parties came after a party politburo meeting held at the NTR Trust Bhavan on Saturday.

The TDP politburo authorized Naidu to meet leaders of national political parties and seek their help, before the all-party meeting with prime minister Manmohan Singh on the same issue scheduled to take place on July 26.

The politburo meeting was held to decide on the future course of action to be adopted by the TDP over the Babli issue, and also to discuss other issues to be raised by the party.
