Asthma Fish Medicine Administration To Begin On June 9

All arrangements are in place for the distribution of the fish medicine for asthma treatment, which will begin at 8 AM at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally on Friday.

Speaking to the media today, Minister for Fisheries Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the State administration had made elaborate arrangements for hassle-free distribution of the fish "prasadam".

The fisheries department had provided sufficient quantity of fish to the Bathini family to administer the medicine which is believed to cure asthma, he said.

The minister added that special counters for children, senior people and physically challenged persons had been set up for the speedy distribution of the medicine.

The city-based Bathini family has been dispensing the fish medicine every year for several decades. Lakhs of people, including from other States of the country, come to the city to take the medicine.
