Owaisi Asks Muslims To Vote Only For Muslims
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi made another controversial statement by asking Muslims to unite and vote only for Muslim candidates to protect secularism.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi made another controversial statement by asking Muslims to unite and vote only for Muslim candidates to protect secularism in India.
Owaisi made this statement in a meeting at Beed in Maharashtra.
Referring to the case of one Kasim, who was killed in UP by people who claimed that that he was indulging in cow smuggling, Owaisi said that the murder should make the Muslims think again. He asked the community to unite now, and not just cry for Kasim.
Alleging that the leaders speaking on secularism were big looters and opportunists who had only used the Muslims for the last 70 years, Owaisi said, "They threatened and suppressed us for decades, and did nothing to improve our lot. There is a need for the Muslims to now emerge as a political force in themselves and cast their votes only to Muslims candidates."
Owaisi also found fault with PM Modi, asking him if the meaning of the slogan "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" was this.
