MLCs D Rajeswara Rao and M S Prabhakar on Tuesday opined that the allegations leveled by MLAs D L Ravindra Reddy and J C Diwakar Reddy against the APIIC-Emaar Properties deal would tarnish the image of Congress party at the national level.
Talking to media persons at the CLP office, the MLCs suspected that the two MLAs were planning to join the Telugu Desam Party and hence were making allegations that Congress party members has indulged in irregularities.
The MLCs advised the two leaders to bring any issue up before the Pradesh Congress Committee or any other proper forum rather than before the media.
The two leaders said that the raising of allegations before the media has spoilt the image of the party. "It is not good for MLAs to spoil the image of a national party by leveling such allegations of corruption," they said.
The staunch Jagan supporters opined that the 2 senior MLAs were making the allegations since they were disgruntled at not being given any posts during YSR's tenure.
They further said that these MLAs are now eyeing ministerial berths in the Rosaiah cabinet.
"If these people do not get any post in the Cabinet, they will also level allegations against Chief Minister Rosaiah," they said.
The MLCs urged the MLAs to stop making allegations against party members and work towards strengthening the party.
