The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee leaders, on Monday, stressed the need for unity among Telugu speaking people living across the world.
Participating in the Ugadi celebrations to mark the Telugu New Year at Indira Bhavan, the headquarters of APCC, leaders, including K Chiranjeevi, C Ramchandraiah, Dokka Manikvara Prasad, Vatti Vasanth Kumar and others, prayed for the success of all Telugu speaking people.
Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi said that the Telugu speaking people should unite and fight for their rights.
Speaking to media personnel later, Ramchandraiah expressed confidence that the Telugu New Year will bring about stability in the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh, and that the Congress will form the government in the next elections.
He said that the people of Seemandhra should make effective use of the packages announced by the Centre to achieve development. (INN)
