On Monday, the Indian Meteorological Department issued a heavy-rainfall warning for several districts in the coastal Andhra and Telangana regions.
The Met Department said that heavy rainfall is most likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and Krishna of coastal Andhra Pradesh, as well as in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and Nalgonda of Telangana during the next 48 hours.
According to the Met Department, a low pressure has formed over the North-West Bay of Bengal and over the adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha. (INN)
