The celebratory atmosphere in the Allu household, with 2 days to go for the marriage of Allu Arjun with Sneha Reddy, was diluted by the booking of a criminal case by the Cyberabad police against the soon-to-be bridegroom and other family members on the orders of a Magistrate on Friday.
The VIII Metropolitan Magistrate ordered the Cyberabad police to book a case against the actor and his family members for allegedly encroaching 4 acres of land belonging to their neighbour.
Acting on the directive of the VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, the Narsingi police booked cases under sections 420 (cheating), 468, 471 and 474 and 34 of IPC against Allu Arjun, his mother Allu Nirmala, brother Allu Sirish and aunt Vasanta Lakshmi.
According to Narsingi Inspector Narayana, the Rajendernagar Magistrate had ordered him to book the case. Narayana revealed that the Allu family had purchased 14 acres 27 guntas of land in survey numbers 131, 163, 164 and 165 of Narsingi Panchayat in 2004.
An advocate, Rahul Dev, had approached the court, and had alleged that the Allu family had encroached on 4 acres of his land.
The Inspector revealed that the police was verifying the land records and the sale deed.
