Indigo officials met Reddy over lunch, post which they said that the issue had been resolved "amicably", and that Reddy had expressed "regret" over the incident.
Anantapur TDP MP J C Diwakar Reddy today got a relief from the ban on travelling in domestic airlines with Indigo Airlines lifting the ban imposed on him.
Indigo officials met Reddy over lunch at the Delhi house of TDP MP and union minister Y Sujana Chowdary, post which the former said that the issue had been resolved "amicably", and that Reddy had expressed "regret" over the incident.
After Indigo lifted the ban, Air India, Vistara, SpiceJet and Jet Airways also lifted the ban.
Notably, Reddy did not give any apology in writing.
It may be recalled that Reddy had entered a heated argument with Indigo officials at the Vizag airport on June 15 after the latter refused to give him and his gunmen boarding passes when he reached the airport later than the maximum permitted time for checking in. Reddy abused Indigo officials and also pulled out a computer monitor and tried to throw it down. Reacting to it, the domestic airlines imposed a flying ban on him.
Reddy approached the Hyderabad High Court to get the ban lifted as he needed to attend the ongoing Parliament monsoon session, but the High Court refused to grant an interim stay on the ban he was facing. He had to take a chartered flight to cast his vote in the Presidential elections held on July 17.
