Agriculture Award For KCR A Big Joke: Congress
The party said that it was not any government body giving the award but a private company, in fact a seed companies' broker.

Stating that the National Agriculture Leadership Award 2017 for the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was the "joke of the millennium", the Telangana Congress said that if the Award Committee chairman Swaminathan came to Telangana and talked to the farmers about their problems, he would know the ground reality prevailing in the state.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, TPCC Chief Official Spokesperson Dasoju Sravan said that in fact the credit for destroying agriculture in Telangana went to KCR. He asked KCR whether he would accept the award for not waiving off the entire loans of the farmers in one go, or for not consoling the families of the farmers who had committed suicides, or for not providing the minimum support price for the farmers' produce, or for not controlling spurious seeds in the state, or for handcuffing the farmers at Khammam.
He demanded that KCR take the award only after answering his questions.
Sravan revealed that it was not any government body giving the award but a private company, in fact a seed companies' broker, and it was ridiculous for the Governor to be congratulating the Chief Minister for it.
He said that he would address a letter to Swaminathan on the prevailing condition of the farmers in the state.
