Anti Corruption Bureau Director General D Boobathi Babu, on Saturday, denied media reports that said he was planning to go on a long leave expressing displeasure over the government's decision to transfer ACB Joint Director K Srinivasa Reddy to Coastal Security.
Talking to media persons, Boobathi Babu said that he was not going on leave, and that he was attending to his duties as usual after the transfer of officials.
"As per the rules, I pursued the government over the transfer of the official," he said, and appealed to the media to not magnify this issue by linking it with others.
Boobathi reiterated that the ACB would continue its full-fledged investigations into the liquor syndicates sincerely, and that it would not spare anyone involved in the scam.
"The probing agency will not spare anyone, and will book cases against them if it gets substantial evidence in connection with the case," he said.
The ACB chief said that various media reports on the liquor scam would definitely impact the functioning of the ACB. (INN)
