The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly will take a decision on the issue of the suspension of YSR Congress Party MLA R K Roja on March 7.
According to Assembly sources, there is a chance that the Speaker will allow Roja to attend the Governor's address in the budget session, on March 6.
The clarity on whether Roja will be allowed to attend the budget session or not will come on March 7.
It may be recalled that the ruling TDP had lodged a complaint with the Privileges Committee alleging that Roja had made objectionable remarks against the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and TDP MLA Anitha. The Assembly Privileges Committee headed by Gollapalli Surya Rao took a decision suspending Roja for one year.
The duration of that suspension ended in December 2016.
The Committee had also recommended suspension for another year responding to the complaint lodged by MLA Anitha separately. On this issue, Roja addressed a letter to the Speaker that she would attend the House and tender an apology to Anitha.
It is learnt that the suspension on Roja will be lifted in case she tenders an apology to Anitha on Tuesday.
