Police officials arrested 3 suspected Naxals late on Sunday night during their combing operations at Yellandu in Khammam and Warangal districts.
According to Inspector Saibaba Prasad, the police came across 3 persons moving under suspicious circumstances during their combing operations at Yellandu. The 3 were subsequently questioned. They confessed that they were affiliated to the Naxalite movement.
According to sources, they were believed to be affiliated to the Jana Sakhti. The 3 were identified as Maddi Babu (32), Yeta Kumara Swamy (40) and P Tirupati (26). Some arms were also confiscated.
Based on their revelations, the police have launched a man-hunt to nab A Rajaiah, Mahesh, Ravi, Kurra Rajanna and Vema Bharathi.
A case under sections 120 (B) IPC and 25 (1) (A) Arms Act was registered against them. Further investigations are on.
