Kalwakurthy MLA Ch Vamshichand Reddy today alleged that 3,300 farmers had committed suicides after the TRS came to power in the state due to the inefficiency of the government.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Vamshichand demanded that the state government take immediate measures to avoid any further deaths, starting with providing a minimum support price to crops in the market.
He also asked the government to release the fourth phase of the promised loan waiver amount and input subsidy immediately.
The government had also failed to take up drought relief measures so far, he said, and demanded that it extend bonus to the crop besides minimum support prices.
