At least 2 persons were killed, and another suffered serious injuries, in a road accident which occurred between Perala and Mandadi, Veldurthy mandal, in Guntur district on Monday.
According to reports, the mishap occurred when the driver of a speeding tractor lost control while negotiating a curve and the vehicle turned turtle. 2 of the occupants were killed on the spot, while the third one was grievously injured.
The victims were shifted to hospital with the help of 108 ambulances where the death of the two was confirmed by doctors. The third victim is stated to be in a critical condition.
The Police reached the spot on getting information and took up further investigations. The identities of the victims are still to be ascertained.
