The YSR Congress said the TDP did not provide any succour to farmers, women's groups, pensioners, employees or other sections of the people.
Describing the 100-day rule so far of the TDP government as a flop show littered with bundles of lies, unkept promises and unhealthy governance benefiting the Chief Minister's coterie, the YSR Congress has said that the TDP did not provide any succour to farmers, women's groups, pensioners, employees or other sections of the people.
"Chandrababu Naidu has been constantly deceiving the people by not fulfilling his core poll promises, and has instead been on a pompous spree. He cares very little about the loan waiver and other promises he made, and has been staking false claims with active support from his friendly media," Party official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters on Monday.
Claims to achieving the Polavaram project and surplus power in the State were duplicitous as commitments in not even one of the 5 files he signed were executed, Rambabu alleged.
Though Babu already signed a file to waive all agriculture and DWACRA loans, he again set up a committee to study the feasibility of the project, to buy time, Rambabu said.
Also, when the Centre had set up the Sivaramakrishnan Committee to identify the capital city, the CM more than announced Vijayawada as the capital, with the land costs sky-rocketing there benefiting his coterie.
"We are not against any city being named as the capital, but are taking objection to the manner in which it was announced - even before the Central Committee had given its recommendations. The loan waiver was an election promise which should have been implemented immediately after assuming office, and he instead set up a committee to delay the process. And the capital city was to be formed after the appointed committee gave its recommendations and after they were thoroughly discussed and debated in the Assembly, but he announced the city's name without going through the process as it benefited his close associates. That is the contrast," Rambabu said.
The TDP government was delaying the loan waiver on one pretext or the other, the old age pension had its own hurdles, the Rs. 2 per litre mineral water scheme did not take off, belt shops had not been closed down, the relaxation of retirement age from 58 to 60 did not apply to 44 PSUs, and the drastic reduction of plan expenditure showed that Chandrababu Naidu was not interested in carrying out the welfare schemes benefiting the weaker sections and minorities, Rambabu rattled off.
"Naidu has given nearly 200 assurances during his electioneering, and another 300 during his padayatra, but not a single promise has been fulfilled, and his governance gets just 25 on a scale of 100 during the 100 days of office which he will be completing tomorrow," Rambabu said.
Development could be seen only in the friendly media of the TDP, and his 100 days were full of Ms which stand for Money, (political) Murders, Manipulations, Malfunctioning and Media Management, Rambabu alleged, saying Naidu's 4-month term was a flop show. (INN)
