As per an assurance given earlier, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has approved the enhancement of the subsidy to physically-challenged persons, on par with SCs and STs, from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 30,000, under self-employment schemes.
According to a media release issued by the Chief Minister's Office on Sunday, earlier, only 3,500 beneficiaries were given subsidy per annum.
With this enhancement of subsidy, the number of beneficiaries will also be enhanced soon, the release said. (INN)
