Refuting reports that he was planning to join the ruling TRS, Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee president Danam Nagender made it clear that he would remain in the Congress.
He alleged that some leaders in the party were trying to send him out, and giving false information to the party high command to that effect.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Danam said that apart from launching a "padayatra" in Greater Hyderabad on the citizens' problems, he would also tour all the Telangana districts to strengthen the Congress party.
Referring to the exit of former APCC chief D Srinivas, the former minister said that DS had lost the respect that he had received in the Congress.
He suggested to the ruling TRS that it give posts to students and stop its "Operation Aakarsh".
Warning Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao against his dictatorial attitude, Danam said that KCR too would face the fate of former chief minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy.
"Everyone knows what Kiran Kumar Reddy has been reduced to now," he said.
Throwing a challenge to the TRS over the upcoming GHMC elections, Nagender asked the Seemandhra voters living in Hyderabad to give a fitting reply to the TRS. (NSS)
