Will Retire If 24-Hour Power Supply Proved: Jeevan Reddy
The Congress MLC today said that he would never contest in elections any more if the BRS government could prove that it was providing 24-hour power in the State.
Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy today said that he would never contest in elections any more if the State government could prove that it was providing 24-hour power in the State.
Speaking to media persons at Jagtial, he asked the government if it had provided 24-hour-long power from even one of its transformers in 2022.
He also claimed that it was the welfare programs launched by the Congress that were the base for CM K Chandrashekar Rao to carry out his rule.
Alleging that KCR's misgovernance had turned a revenue-surplus state into a debt-ridden one with Rs 5 lakh crore in loans, he lamented that every child yet to be born in the State already had a debt of Rs 1.25 lakh on its head.
He also alleged that the State government had failed to honour its promise of Rs 10 lakh in financial assistance under Dalit Bandhu to 1,500 beneficiaries in each Assembly constituency of the State during the 2022-23 financial year. He said that the scheme had invented just to promote the ruling party in the elections due at that time.
He also asked the CM why he had promised 12% reservations for Muslims in the State when he was incapable of doing so.
He added that Jagtial town had got plenty of recognition in undivided AP, but was on the decline now after the BRS took over the State, just like the rest of the State.
