State Government Suspends IPS Officer Umesh Kumar
Umesh kumar allegedly forged a letter in the name of a Rajya Sabha MP, to complain against IPS officer Dinesh Reddy - an act that ended in a non-bailable warrant against him.

The state government, on Tuesday, suspended senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar, who is facing a forgery case, for his unauthorized absence from duty.
The government issued orders suspending Umesh Kumar from services, as a disciplinary action, for his unauthorized absence from duty for the last 5 days.
The government issued these orders 3 days after a local court issued a non-bailable warrant against the officer. Umesh Kumar had gone into hiding, after police reached his house to execute the warrant.
However, the High Court, on Monday, kept in abeyance the warrant till 25 June. Umesh Kumar has been directed to surrender before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court before 25 June, in connection with the forgery case registered against him.
