Two More RTC Drivers Die Of Heart Attacks

Two more employees of the TSRTC died of heart attacks on Wednesday as the strike by the staff entered the 19th day.

Two more employees of the TSRTC died of heart attacks on Wednesday as the strike by the staff entered the 19th day.

According to reports received, Ramesh Goud, 40, who hails from Mall village of Yacharam mandal in Rangareddy district, and was working as a driver of the Musheerabad-1 depot, died of a heart attack. Ramesh had reportedly been actively participating in the strike for the past 17 days. He had complained of chest pain on Monday night and was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet, where he passed away on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment.

The other driver, D Gafaruddin, 35, of Golilingala village of Nagireddypet mandal of Kamareddy district, a driver of the Nizamabad-2 depot, died in an ambulance on the way to a hospital after a stroke at his home.

Both the drivers are married and have families, and both are reported to have been encountering financial difficulties since the strike started.
