The NIA arrested two more youths, who it said were operatives of the ISIS, in Hyderabad today.
Based on the information given by the previously arrested suspected ISIS foot-soldiers in Hyderabad, the NIA took Yasir Niyamadullah and Atta-ul Rahman into custody and produced them in court.
With these two arrests, the number of ISIS operatives arrested in Hyderabad rose to seven.
With these timely arrests, the NIA appears to have foiled a major disaster in the city as the ultras were planning blasts to kill and maim innocent people.
Meanwhile, five ISIS operatives arrested by the NIA earlier were today produced in the Nampally criminal court after expiry of NIA custody. The court had granted 12-day NIA custody earlier for these five (and had sent three others to judicial remand till July 26).
The NIA pleaded with the court to extend the custody of Accused No. 1 and 2 by another eight days so to as to get more information about their activities.
