YSRCP leader and television anchor Shyamala Reddy today received relief from the Telangana High Court in a case related to the promotion of a betting app.
The case, filed at the Punjagutta police station in Hyderabad, accused her of endorsing illegal online gambling platforms.
Challenging the FIR, Reddy approached the High Court, requesting its quashing.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court directed the police not to arrest her until further orders, offering her significant relief.
However, the court mandated that Reddy cooperate with the investigation and appear before the police for questioning starting Monday.
As is known, several others have also been named in the case, with the police questioning anchors Vishnupriya and Ritu Chaudhary among others yesterday regarding their involvement.
The High Court clarified that the investigation could continue provided the authorities serve a notice before summoning individuals for questioning.
