TSRTC MD Denies Asset Sale Reports

Sajjanar however said that there was a need to increase the bus fares, and that the state government would take a decision on the issue.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) MD V C Sajjanar today refuted reports of the sale of bus depots and other assets of the corporation.

He stated categorically that the corporation had no such plans.

He however said that there was a need to increase the bus fares, and that the state government would take a decision on the issue.

He also said that the corporation was effecting a rejig of its staff for some reasons.

Sajjanar claimed that more and more people of the state were starting to look to the corporation for their transportation needs. He said that the corporation had restored bus services in 1,359 routes, and that the income of the corporation had gone up both due to the decisions taken by the management and an increase in the OR.

He asked the people to approach the DM of the corporation if they needed any buses. He also said that the corporation would launch bus services to the Jogulamba temple from Hyderabad from the coming Saturday.
