New Districts Protests: Jangaon Curfew Removed

After 85 long days, the curfew imposed in Jangaon in view of the massive protests demanding district status for the region has been lifted.

After 85 long days, the curfew order (Section 144) imposed in Jangaon town of the Warangal district in view of the massive protests demanding district status for Jangaon has been lifted.

Jangaon DSP Padmanabha Reddy however said that the curfew would be reimposed if the protests turned violent.

He urged people to demonstrate peacefully and not indulge in vandalism.
