The Board of Intermediate Education today extended the Dasara holidays for junior colleges across the state from October 18 to 20.
The colleges will therefore now reopen on October 22 as October 21 is a Sunday.
The board asked colleges to follow the instructions to stay shut, seriously. That is pertinent since the "corporate colleges" are infamous for flout holiday norms in their quest to put their students through the wringer to achieve top scores and ranks.
