MLC and educationist Chukka Ramaiah appealed to all political parties to come up with a consensus on the Telangana issue during the December 28 all-party meeting.
"I will also write a letter to this effect requesting all political parties to come out openly with their stand on the issue without any delay," he told reporters on Tuesday.
He urged the ruling Congress, the main opposition - the TDP - and YSRCP to make clear statements on the issue without any ambiguity.
"The people of Telangana want a clear decision from these parties," he said, at a press conference organized by the Telangana Coordination Committee at the Press Club.
"For the past five years, development has taken a backseat with agitations, and there is no rationale in postponing the issue any further as the confidence amongst the people is weaning," he said.
"I will also write a letter to all political parties to frankly spell out their stand, since the issue has been dragged for too long," he said. (INN)
