Congress Tracking KCR Promises On Facebook, Twitter

Telangana Congress MLC Mohammed Ali Shabbir informed that a Facebook Page had been created to track the "false promises" made by KCR.
Hyderabad | 13th March 2015
Deputy CLP leader in the Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the angry reaction by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to the "Janata Ka Farman" sent by him on the status of 101 major promises of his government.

Addressing a press conference at Assembly's media point on Friday, Shabbir Ali alleged that the Chief Minster had made some personal remarks against him during the launch of the Mission Kakatiya scheme in Sadashivnagar of the Nizamabad district on Thursday.

"KCR ko gussa kyon aata hai?" he asked, adding that the Janata Ka Farman sent by him to KCR contained no objectionable or provocative content. It only had the list of 101 major promises by him, and KCR was requested to answer how many of them had been implemented, partially-implemented or not implemented.

"KCR not only refused to accept the Farman sent to him through courier, but made personal remarks against me," he alleged.

Shabbir Ali said KCR was afraid of facing the mirror being shown by the Congress party. The Chief Minister apparently believed that no one had a right to question him on the status of the promises which he made to the people of Telangana, Shabbir Ali alleged. He just wanted to keep the people's attention diverted by making a new promise every day.

"Nearly 2,000 people sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana. But KCR got angry when we asked why he gave compensation to the families of only 459 martyrs. He got provoked when he was asked about the suicides committed by farmers," he said.

The Congress leader admitted that he lost the elections in Kamareddy and Yellareddy, and was later made an MLC by AICC President Sonia Gandhi. But he reminded that KCR had visited Sonia Gandhi along with his family members in February 2014 and described her as "Telangana Talli". He said that KCR had become the Chief Minister due to Sonia Gandhi who had turned the dream of Telangana into a reality. KCR had offered to wash Gandhi's feet, merge his party with the Congress and make a Dalit the CM if she gave Telangana. However, he betrayed Sonia Gandhi and came to power by making false promises.

Shabbir Ali announced that KCR would be pursued over the promises that he had made to the people. He informed that a Facebook Page had been created to track the false promises made by KCR. Each and every promise made by KCR and his party leaders would be placed on www.facebook.com/kcrfakepromises, and people would be asked to answer whether or not it had been fulfilled. A Twitter Hashtag #kcrfakepromises too had been created, he said.

He said that the people would teach a fitting lesson to the ruling party if it failed to honour its promises. (INN)
