T Cong MPs May Resign Again: Yaskhi

MP Madhu Yaskhi stated that leaders from Telangana would sacrifice their posts if the Centre makes an unfavourable decision on Telangana.
Hyderabad | 18th November 2011
Nizamabad Congress MP Madhu Yaskhi on Friday stated that the elected representatives from the Telangana region are ready to sacrifice their posts if the Centre announces an unfavourable decision on Telangana statehood.

Talking to media persons at the Chief Minister's Camp office, Madhu Yaskhi said that the Centre ought not delay the announcement on Telangana and test the people's patience.

Demanding that the Centre introduce a Telangana Bill in the winter session of Parliament, he said that the Telangana people's representatives are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of separate statehood.

The Nizamabad MP said that Telangana leaders would intensify their agitation for the statehood irrespective of party affiliations. He said that the Congress leaders from the region have discussed agitating for statehoos alongside Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman M Kodandaram.

Madhu Yaskhi took objection over Seemandhra leaders describing Telangana leaders' resignation as "political drama". He blamed Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu for the Centre taking a U-turn on the Telangana issue.

The Congress MP said the party leaders would soon meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and explain to her that the party would be completely wiped out in the region if it fails to announce a favourable decision on Telangana. (INN)
